3 injured in Ohio construction accident near Maumee

In Ohio, several workers were injured during a crash on Anthony Wayne Trail. The construction workers were hit by a tractor-trailer rig because of the driver falling asleep, according to the news reports. The police in Maumee have said that the construction accident was the first of two involving the crew from a company based in Holland, Ohio.

During the first crash, the trucker had been headed west on the road when it hit the construction crew's lighted sign truck from behind. There were three workers injured including a 40-year-old, 54-year-old and 64-year-old. Two of the workers had been driving the sign truck and had minor injuries, while the 40-year-old man suffered serious injuries from being hit on the road.

It was reported that the men aren't in life-threatening danger from their injuries. They were taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center for treatment. The man who struck the truck, a 46-year-old from Oak Harbor, Ohio, reported to police that he had been asleep behind the wheel. He wasn't hurt in the crash.

The second incident that took place involved a drunk driver who was reportedly a 40-year-old man from Waterville. He collided with a pickup truck that belonged to the company, but no one was reported as being hurt.

If you or a loved one have been hurt in a construction accident like this one, know that you don't have to face it alone. There are legal ways to seek compensation and justice for what has happened to you. Speaking with someone who knows your rights is a good place to start, so you can begin to get your life back on track.
